Aims and Objectives:

The main purpose of nature club is to:

  1. Raise student’s environmental awareness
  2. To develop the skills they need to make a difference in the environment
  3. To cultivate a sense of responsibility and caring for their surrounding (natural environment) school and community
  4. To increase students leadership, life skills, caring about environment and community, responsibility, teamwork and knowledge
  5. To organize and participate in environmental improvement programs in school as well as in their locality
  6. To encourage fellow students and the general public to participate in environmental campaigns
  7. To observe occasions such as Earth day, Environment Day, Social Forestry Day, World Water Day, World Ozone Day, etc.
  8. To actively participate in phenology observation.

The nature club activities are to meet the environmental education, which are to:

  1. Create awareness and sensitivity among individuals and social groups to the total environment and its allied problems
  2. Build attitudes to help individuals and social groups acquire a set of values and feelings of concern for environment, and the motivation for actively participating in environmental improvement and protection
  3. Teach skills to help individuals and social groups to identify and solve environmental problems
  4. To observe phenophase daily and punch the data daily

PLEDGE

I will do my best to improve the environment of my home, my school and my community.

For this I will plant and look after one tree/s each year.

I will not harm wildlife.

I will not waste paper.

I will not litter.

I will learn about the environment and its care.

I will observe and record the phenophase daily.

  • Community Service – cleaning the adopted steam

  • Maintain daphane plant garden along the footpath.

  • Preparation for Social Forestry Day.

  • Invite expertise from park to talk on climate change.
