HEROES Climate Data Available for Public Use
Posted on 2021-09-09 10:30:34 by administratorWe are delighted to share the climate change monitoring weather data of 17 schools covering different altitudinal gradients and geographic regions from 2015-2020. The weather data variables include temperature, precipitation, solar radiation, soil moisture, wind speed, and wind direction, collected every 10 minutes interval.
As part of the climate change monitoring program on biodiversity, particularly plants and animals' life cycles, the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment Research initiated the HEROES program in collaboration with the Karuna Foundation, Bhutan Foundation, and schools across the country.
The dataset is now available for public use, which we hope will contribute to understanding the impact of climate change in Bhutan.
